Six tips for increased effeciency in Windows

Tip#1 - When you want to do something in Windows...
1. Go to that something.
2. Right-click on that something.
Tip#2 - When you want to switch between windows...
1. Hold down the ALT key, and
2. Press the TAB key
Tip#3 - When you want to open or save or print...
1. Use the keyboard shortcut
2. Click on any menu item to learn its shortcut
Examples: Ctrl + O = open, Ctrl + S = save, Ctrl + N = new, Ctrl + P = print
Tip#4 - When you want to create a document scrap in
Microsoft Word...
1. Highlight the scrap
2. Right-click and drag the scrap to the desktop and release
3. Choose "Create Document Shortcut Here"
4. Close and save changes (if asked)
Double click on the scrap shortcut on your desktop to activate the program,
open the document and return to the exact spot!
Tip#5 - In Windows 95/98/NT...
Everything is either --
1. A Folder ( a location for storing data)
2. A Document (data)
Tip#6 - Save your work often
How often should you save your work? Ask yourself...
How much do I want to retype? Save about every 10 or 15 minutes!
